A former House of Representatives member, Hon. Dapo Lam-Adesina on Monday visited popular Araromi Spare Parts Market, Agodi Gate to commiserate with the traders over the recent inferno that destroyed a section of the market.

The son of former governor who represented Ibadan North East/South East Federal Constituency during his visit donated a sum of five hundred thousand naira to assist in rebuilding the affected portion of the market.

While speaking with the market leaders and shop owners in the market,  Honourable Dapo Lam emphasized the need for them to give thanks to God for the gift of life, saying that when there is life, there is hope.

“It hurts to see this market razed by fire but we can not blame God. We should just thank God that no life was lost. We can do a lot while we are still alive.

“It is not yet politicking time, so I am here as a concerned son of the soil to sympathize with my people. I hereby support the market with the sum of five hundred thousand naira” he said.

A former Chairman of the market, Alhaji Iyan described Omo Oloore as a person who has distinguished himself just like his late father,The great Lam.

The Chairman of the Market, Mr. Morufu Ikire in his reaction said Hon Dapo Lam has always been a friend of the market. According to him, “Some of the appliances in the market such as Televisions and Generators are part of his kind gestures to us”.

Baale of the market, Alhaji Waheed Adegoke in his closing remark thanked the former lawmaker and prayed that he continues to succeed in all his endeavors.

The Oluode of Ibadanland, Oloye Kehinde Ege was also present at the short visit.
