The All Progressives Congress, APC Gubernatorial and state House of Assembly Electoral Committee for Ogun state, led by Chief Wale Ohu has declared Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, aka YAYI as the winner of the primary election for Ogun state.
Senator Olamilekan Adeola polled a total number of 304,055 votes.
Chief Wale Ohu declared the results which affirmed the candidacy of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (YAYI)at the APC State Secretariat, Abeokuta.
After the declaration of the results, the Governor of Ogun state, Prince Dapo Abiodun thanked the Electoral Committee for a job well done.

He was full of praises for the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Chief Wale Ohu whose political experience, maturity and dexterity contributed to the flawless exercise witnessed in Ogun state.
He said that Chief Wale Ohu has never disappointed, anytime, anywhere and on whatever Party assignment given to him by the Leadership of the APC.
Governor Abiodun thanked the Leaders of the party in the state for their steadfastness.
He specifically appreciated the contributions of the state Chairman, Chief Yemi Sanusi, members of the state Executives, Local Government Party Chairmen and all critical Stakeholders for their patience and support.

He commended the sacrifices of all the Aspirants who sacrificed their personal ambitions for the greater good of the APC and promised that they would not regret their decisions to respect the will of the party.

Finally, he thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his fatherly support at all times.
The candidate of the party, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola YAYI also spoke glowingly of Chief Wale Ohu.
He described his wealth of experience and political maturity as highly valuable to the system.
He appreciated the efforts put in by Chief Wale Ohu and his Committee for the success of the exercise in Ogun state.

Senator Olamilekan commended all the Aspirants who sacrificed their personal ambitions to support him and promised never to toy with their sacrifices.
He appreciated the Governor of Ogun state for his unflinching support and sacrifices, with a promise to build on the solid foundations he has laid for the sustainable development of Ogun state.

He was full of praises for the the state Chairman of the APC, state Executives, Local Government and Ward Executives, Leaders and Stakeholders at all levels.
Finally, he thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who he described as his father, mentor and role model.
He appreciated the president for his fatherly support, advice, mentorship and encouragement over the last 24 years.
