A viral video involving Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, and Mogaji Abass Oloko, a political ally of the governor, has sparked fresh discussions among political observers following the placement of a billboard bearing the image of Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the All Progressives Congress, APC governorship candidate in the state.

In the video, Governor Makinde was seen engaging Mogaji Oloko in a conversation about a billboard located at Isale Alfa, where the governor told Mogaji Oloko that he would reveal the person who would succeed him and that the image of the eventual winner would be placed on the billboard in January 2026.
However, the development has attracted attention after Mogaji Oloko recently installed a billboard featuring Senator Sharafadeen Alli, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), at the same location.
The move has generated reactions within political circles, with observers expressing surprise over the decision of a known associate of the governor’s camp to display the image of a candidate from the opposition party.
While the reason behind the billboard placement remains unclear, the development has continued to fuel conversations over its political significance and the possible message being conveyed ahead of the 2027 Oyo State governorship election.
