The Director-General of the Otunba Masolanu Adeolu Campaign Organisation, Comrade Abiodun Opadoja has expressed optimism on the decision of the All Progressives Congress, APC, NWC as regards the ticket for Ido/Ibarapa East federal constituency.

Comrade Abiodun Opadoja while reacting to the viral report sponsored by some youths in Ido Local Government Area alleging that some strong personalities within the party are trying to replace candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East federal constituency with another candidate.
Comrade Opadoja warned those responsible for undemocratic move to desist and allow the APC NWC to decide.
He reinstated that was no primary election held in Ido/Ibarapa East federal constituency on May 16, 2026 for candidate to emerge ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He stated that party has been informed about the development while document has been submitted to the Party’s Appeal Panel.
“The attention of Otunba Masolanu Adeolu Campaign Organization was drawn to a report read on a Yoruba News program and which was aired on a popular Radio station in Ibadan earlier this week.
“The news item, sponsored by some Youths in Ido Local Government claimed that some strong personalities within Oyo APC are trying to replace a particular candidate for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency with another candidate.
“Our attention was also drawn to the premature celebration by a candidate from Lanlate and his followers on Facebook regarding the ticket for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.
“We were amused by the actions of both Camps. For us, we have been consistent about our claims that there was no primary election to elect a candidate for the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency on the 16th of May, 2026 or any other dates.
“We have informed the party about this development and we submitted a well documented Appeal to the Party’s Appeal Panel.
“Not only that, Otunba Masolanu Adeolu, on invitation by the Panel, duly appeared before the Panel to present his case with very credible evidence.
“Up till today, the Party is yet to communicate the decision of the Appeal Panel to our candidate. As a matter of due diligence, we wrote a letter dated the 25th of May, 2026, addressed to the National Chairman of the APC, the state Chairman of the APC and copied to the National Organizing Secretary of the APC.
“Through this letter, we demanded for the report of the Report/Decision of the Appeal Panel on the failure to hold primary election for Ido/Ibarapa East Federal Constituency.
“We are also yet to receive any response to this letter. We did not stop there. We did our due diligence by requesting for the Report of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, with respect to the primary for the Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency through a letter dated 1st of June, 2026.
“In fact, if the National headquarters of the APC had made an official pronouncement, recognizing anyone as candidate for Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency, perhaps, we would have been in court by now.
“We take cognizance of the position of the APC National Working Committee, NWC that it is the Body that will reveal the scores of candidates and winners of the primary election.
“As loyal Party men, we are patiently awaiting the official position of the Party regarding our complaints with respect to Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency.
“We believe strongly that the decision that will be made at the end of the day will be such that will save everyone from avoidable litigations”.
