Oyo State gubernatorial candidate under the platform of Allied People’s Movement (APM), Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, has demonstrated his genuine commitment to the growth of sports and youth development in Oyo State by supporting Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) with ₦2 million ahead of the club’s participation in the CAF Confederation Cup.
The gesture, according to Adekanmbi, is aimed at motivating the players, technical crew and management of the historic Ibadan-based club as they prepare to represent Oyo State and Nigeria on the continental stage.
Adekanmbi was at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan to watch and cheer Oluyole Warriors for their opening match.

Adekanmbi described 3SC as more than a football club, noting that the team remains an important symbol of Oyo State’s rich sporting heritage and a source of inspiration for thousands of young people across the state.
APM guber candidate stressed the need for individuals, corporate organisations and government at all levels to support sports development, particularly football, as a platform for youth empowerment, talent discovery and economic opportunities.

“Supporting 3SC is supporting our young people and the future of sports in Oyo State. We want our players to go into the CAF Confederation Cup with confidence, knowing that the people of Oyo State believe in them,” he said.
