The Director-General, Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership, Engr Joseph Tegbe has mourned the exit of veteran broadcaster and Báálè of Oluyole, Chief Yemi Ogunyemi who died on Wednesday, 7th May, 2025.

“On behalf of my family and the descendants of the Oguntegbe family, I extend my deepest condolences to the family, friends, and the entire Ibadan community on the passing of Chief Yemi Ogunyemi, the Baale of Oluyole and Vice Chairman of the Council of Traditional Baales Ibadanland.

“Chief Ogunyemi’s legacy as a pioneering media guru and veteran broadcaster has left an indelible mark on our collective memory. His iconic Embalaya Programme remains a cherished part of our cultural heritage, captivating audiences in the 80s and 90s.
