I read the comments credited to the Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government, Seun Olufade yesterday. I had wanted to respond to the funny fellow, but I prioritized my response to the ” Arobafin” over and above that of one of his foot soldiers.

Now, I have the time for Seun Olufade. Olufade was praising the National Assembly and State House of Assembly candidates of his political party, the Allied People’s Movement, APM and if he had just left it like that, I wouldn’t have taken notice of his statement.
However, like a stray dog, the fellow decided to abandon the marketing of his party’s candidates and jumped into something bigger than his comprehension.

He started drawing a comparison between the candidates of the APM and the Gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, whom he referred to as “Senator Billboard”.
Violence, insults and uncouth mouth are the weapons of the intellectually weak.
By the time the comments by Olufade was making the headlines in Ibadan, his Principal, the Governor of Oyo state was making greater headlines in Eruwa. He was threatening Royal Fathers with fire and brimstones. He was promising to disrespect Royal Fathers when he resumes his presidential campaign across the country!
Like father like son you would say? A fish begins to rot from the head.
If the Governor of a state believes that the foundation for his presidential campaign would be rooted on disrespect and insults to Royal Fathers, why would anyone blame Olufade if he is disrespecting a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for no justifiable reasons?
I think I have to welcome the people of Oyo state and Nigeria at large to the era of the ” eleeke eebus”.
The interesting thing is that Governor Seyi Makinde and his lap dogs can not handle the heat. The Governor hates to be insulted, even when he deserves it and his lickspittles always go haywire any time you respond in kind to Governor Seyi Makinde’s reckless statements.
Now, let us pay Seun Olufade in his own coins. He called Senator Sharafadeen Alli to question over his achievements and I know that the Media Team of the Senator have always been doing justice to such questions, most especially, in recent times.
Now, let us apply the same yardstick for the Executive Chairman of Ibadan North Local Government.
There was a time I raised the alarm that the statutory monthly allocations for the 33 Local Governments were being warehouse in Ibadan North Local Government where he is the Chairman and from there, the money belonging to the 33 Local Governments were being illegally withdrawn to pay contractors engaged by the Governor to handle State Government projects.
I am challenging Olufade to speak to this serious allegations and defend them by making public, the details of all the contracts awarded and signed by the Head of Local Government Administration, ( HLA), for Ibadan North Local Government.
Secondly, Ibadan North Local Government, where Seun Olufade is the Chairman is known for receiving the highest monthly allocations in the whole of Oyo state.
It is the richest Local Government in terms of monthly allocations and Internally Generated Revenues, IGR.
I challenge Seun Olufade to make public, the details of the statutory monthly allocations received by him since he became Chairman of the Local Government, the IGR received and the expenditures of the Local Government since he became Chairman.
Let him also publish all the projects executed by Ibadan North Local Government under his watch and when he is doing this, he should make public, the details of the contracts and contractors engaged by the Local Government.
I have been working on a petition to the appropriate Anti-corruption Agencies regarding the failed road contract he executed and which was commissioned by Governor Makinde a couple of weeks ago.
He has called my consciousness to the fact that I have to rush things up.
Sometimes, it amuses me, when, individuals who should be defending themselves and answering questions before Anti-corruption Agencies still have the audacity to make reckless comments.
You are an Executive Chairman who has been receiving hundreds of millions of Naira as monthly allocation, IGR, VAT and other income and you can never account for them.
How did you get the mouth to speak about others?
Seun Olufade should remove the log of wood in his eyes before he starts talking about Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli.
Sola Abegunde.
