A fashionable and cultural ambassador of Yorubaland, Oloye Lekan Alabi has bagged ‘OBA ASA Ti ‘LE ODUA’ Award. Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Lekan Alabi was in joyous mood when the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths presented him with the award.
At the event which held at the prestigious International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan had in attendance first class traditional ruler, Aláà fin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Olubadan of Ibadanland was represented by Olori Sherifa.
It was a gallery for showcasing fashionable wears as over ninety percent attendees flaunted native dress. Oloye Lekan Alabi was Chief Press Secretary to late Chief Bola Ige when he was governor of Oyo State before Osun was carved out of Oyo State.
The respected Chief of Ibadanland, while receiving the beautifully carved award thanked the Grand Council of Yoruba Youths and took his time to appreciate traditional monarchs who came from far and near to grace the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary.
Former governorship aspirant, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun and other well meaning Nigerians were in attendance to share in the joy of Ekefa Olubadan of Ibadanland, Chief Lekan Alabi.
