Academic activities at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State, may be disrupted as the university’s academic staff have commenced an indefinite strike over unpaid entitlements and the non-implementation of a 2025 agreement.

According to OyoMind, the union said the strike would begin at midnight on Thursday following an emergency congress held on Wednesday, where members resolved to embark on the industrial action.
The decision was announced in a statement signed by the union’s Chairman, Professor Olujimi Dada, and Secretary, Dr Soji Arinola.
The union directed its members to suspend all academic activities, including lectures, examinations, statutory meetings, laboratory work, teaching and other interactions with students.

The action is in protest against the failure to implement the 2025 agreement between the Federal Government and the union, as well as the non-payment of outstanding entitlements.
