Executive Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, has praised the club’s supporters for their massive turnout at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba, during the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season opener on Sunday.

Despite a narrow first-half defeat to Bayelsa United, Salami said he was inspired by the passionate display of loyalty from the fans, who filled the stadium to cheer on the Oluyole Warriors.

“We deeply appreciate our fans who turned out in their numbers today. This is just the start, and we want you to keep believing in the team. We promise there will be many victories ahead as the NPFL season unfolds,” he assured.

The match itself saw Bayelsa United’s goalkeeper put up a heroic performance, denying multiple attempts from 3SC to preserve their slim lead. Still, Salami insisted the team would learn from the setback and come back stronger in subsequent fixtures.

He urged the faithful to remain optimistic, emphasizing that the season is long and that the club is determined to deliver results that will make Ibadan proud.
