I definitely will deal with the Bimbo Adekanmbi interview extensively but I must quickly do this.

I listened to him on the Fresh FM, dancing to the sorrowful beats from the birthday boy and I felt sorry for both of them.

It was like the birthday boy had a rope tied around the neck of the APM Gubernatorial candidate and he was just following the fellow dogmatically.

I have always been saying this. I can easily predict these clowns.

Immediately I saw a useless paper flying around on social media, yesterday, 24 hours to the Bimbo Adekanmbi interview, I knew what to expect.

The birthday boy was in his usual mood. Jumping in and out while Adekanmbi was laboring to make sense. Even, Adekanmbi was asking him to let him make sense of his usual long and irrelevant sentences.

Who would blame him? Business is good. Two good Jeeps, a protruding belly and enough cash to maintain a usual reckless life. Ori Oke Mokola on my mind.

With such incentives, a man with no principle would even kill his mother to satisfy the tap from which the illicit funds runs out from.

Now, let me quickly address the no sense narratives of Adekanmbi regarding the Ido-Eruwa Road project.

Just like their e-rats. Bimbo is trying to tell us that Governor Seyi Makinde is unable to complete the Ido-Eruwa Road project for seven years plus because, an unnamed APC Chieftain who purportedly got the contract during the Ajimobi regime failed to complete the job.

In fact, he claimed that the unnamed APC Chieftain ” chopped” the contract sum which the birthday boy put at around N6bn.

I am surprised that both Adekanmbi and the birthday boy could not attach a name to the unnamed APC Chieftain and ordinarily, that should be the end of the matter.

However, we are in a very sensitive period and sometimes, you have to answer fools when he begins to act foolishly.

Let me ask Bimbo Adekanmbi the following questions:

Was anyone taken to court with respect to the alleged failed contract awarded by Ajimobi for the rehabilitation of the Ido-Eruwa Road project?

If the answer to the above is in the negative, where is the sense in what he is now trying to say?

Secondly, did Governor Seyi Makinde award fresh contracts for the rehabilitation of road?

If yes, when and why? Governor Makinde’s decision to award a new contract with respect to the Ido-Eruwa Road has completely withdrawn the carpet from under the Illogical reasoning of Adekanmbi and the birthday boy.

Why is it that no one, including Governor Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi, has ever spoken about the particular APC Chieftain until now?

Why are we hearing this story now when election are just months away?

Why would Governor Makinde accept responsibilities in Eruwa for the failure to finish the project in time and even vowed that he shouldn’t be allowed to enter Eruwa if he doesn’t complete the project by December?

Why didn’t he just tell us that an APC Chieftain had ” chopped” the money for the contract?

We know that both Governor Makinde and Bimbo Adekanmbi have nothing positive to offer us in Ibarapa and he just confirmed it this morning.

As I write this piece, the road from Oke-Ola, in Aborerin, Eruwa, to Igboora express junction has become unpassable due to the incompetence of the Contractor engaged by Governor Makinde to do the road.

Motorists coming from Ibadan and Eruwa, who are going to Ibarapa North and Central and infact, some parts of Oke-Ogun are having very terrible times reaching the express road because they have to navigate through Apode road. A road that is in very terrible shape.

I recollect that the Apode road was the first project I sponsored as Exco when I was a Supervisory Councilor for Works in 2007. Those were the good old days, when Local Governments got their monthly allocations correctly. We tarred the road from Oke-Oba to the expressway.

So, which APC Chieftain will Adekanmbi blame for the failure of the Oke-Ola junction to Igboora express junction project?

If I may ask, is it the unnamed APC Chieftain who also sold out the Farm Settlement in Eruwa?

Instead of the fellow to concentrate on how he would extricate himself from the baggage placed upon him by Governor Seyi Makinde, he just told us that if Makinde placed upon us a heavy yoke, he will make our yokes heavier and God Almighty will not allow it.

If a small boy says he will make the heads of chickens his delicacies when he grows up, the prayers of the chicken won’t allow him to grow old. ( Omode to ni ti Oun ba dagba, Ori Adie ni Oun A maa je, Ori Adie o nii je o dagba).

Governor Makinde is the one who has refused to address the Ido-Eruwa Road project for seven years plus and he has accepted his failures.

It is too late in the day to pass the blames to an imaginary APC Chieftain.

Only a fool will be deceived by that no sense narrative.

Like I said, I will definitely deal with the whole interview later.

Sola Abegunde.
