Oyo State governorship aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Ololade Usman Bakare joined progressive family in the state to sympathise with former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu over the abduction of sister and her twin sons which occurred in Ibadan on Wednesday morning.
Bakare in a press statement signed and made available to FRESHPAGE on Wednesday called for urgent action by various security agencies to rescue the victims and expose perpetrators of dastardly act.
Bakare acknowledged the ongoing efforts of the government in collaboration with security agencies to rescue teachers and students of schools in Ahoro-Esinele, Yawota community in Oriire Local Government Area of the State.
The cyber security expert said the efforts of federal and state governments in conjunction with security agencies are commendable and reflect a continued commitment to safeguarding lives and restoring public confidence in the security architecture.
“Notwithstanding these efforts, I respectfully but firmly urge the state government to intensify and expedite all necessary measures to secure the immediate and safe release of the abducted family members of Chief Adebayo Adelabu who was kidnapped on the morning of June 3rd.
“The urgency of this matter cannot be overstated, and it is imperative that all available resources and strategic interventions be deployed without delay.
“Furthermore, I call on all citizens to remain vigilant and exercise heightened caution in their daily activities. The current security situation necessitates increased awareness and cooperation with law enforcement agencies. Members of the public are strongly encouraged to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to the appropriate authorities, as collective vigilance remains a critical component in enhancing community safety.
“I take this opportunity to thank our law enforcement agents for their efforts in discharging their duties despite facing dangerous situations.
“I remain resolute in our hope for the safe return of all abducted individuals and reaffirm our commitment to supporting all lawful efforts aimed at restoring peace, security, and stability within our communities.”
