The Governorship Candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Oyo State, Kunle Olatunji KTJ, has been listed on the official portal of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) among candidates cleared to participate in the 2027 Oyo State Governorship Election.
Olatunji’s listing on the INEC portal places him among the candidates expected to contest the governorship election alongside candidates of other political parties.
Other candidates listed include Senator Sarafadeen Alli of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Bimbo Adekanmbi of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), Oloye Adegboyega Adegoke of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Gbolagade Salami of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), and Oriyomi Hamsat of the Accord Party, among others.
The development has generated excitement among members and supporters of the ADP in Oyo State, particularly following the appearance of the party’s Governorship Candidate and candidates for the State House of Assembly on the INEC portal.
Among the ADP candidates listed for the Oyo State House of Assembly are Hon. Ismael Opeyemi Sodiq “Elege” for Ona Ara State Constituency and Hon. Akinwale for Egbeda State Constituency, alongside other candidates fielded by the party across the state.
The development is being viewed by the ADP as another significant milestone in its preparations for the 2027 general elections. Party members expressed confidence that the listing of the candidates further demonstrates the party’s readiness to commence full-scale mobilisation and electioneering activities in accordance with the electoral timetable.
Speaking on the development, Kunle Olatunji KTJ assured the people of Oyo State of his unwavering commitment to providing purposeful, accountable and people-oriented leadership if elected governor.
Olatunji said his administration would prioritise good governance, economic development, job creation, human capital development, infrastructure renewal and improved quality of life for the people of Oyo State.
He expressed confidence in the growing acceptance of the ADP across the state and maintained that the party is strategically positioned to emerge as a credible alternative to the established political parties in the 2027 elections.
According to him, the 2027 election presents an opportunity for the people of Oyo State to make a decisive choice in favour of competent, compassionate, visionary and accountable leadership.
He therefore called on the people of Oyo State, particularly youths, professionals, artisans, farmers, entrepreneurs, women and other stakeholders, to join hands with the ADP in the collective effort to reposition the state for sustainable development and prosperity.
Olatunji reiterated his determination to lead a government founded on empathy, vision, purpose, commitment and accountability, stressing that Oyo State deserves leadership capable of unlocking its enormous human and economic potential.
The ADP Governorship Candidate further urged party members and supporters to remain united, disciplined and focused as the party intensifies its preparations and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
