Mr. Fatai Adesokan, a respected radio analyst, on Fresh FM, Ibadan, and his family have been thrown into mourning following the passing of his beloved mother, Alhaja Mulikat Aweni.
The octogenarian died around 9:00am in Lagos on Monday at the age of 87.
Mr. Adesokan broke the sad news while speaking with FreshPage correspondent on Monday. According to him, Alhaja Aweni peacefully passed away after a fulfilled life dedicated to faith, family and service to humanity.

Mr. Adesokan described the late Alhaja Aweni as a caring mother, loving grandmother and source of wisdom to people around her.
Alhaja Mulikat Aweni was born in Burkina Faso 87 years ago by the family of late Alhaji Raji Giwa of Baale Agbe Compound, Oje-Owode, Saki East LG, Oyo State.
The late Alhaja Mulikat Aweni married the late Pa Azeez Akanbi Adesokan of Balogun Compound, Otun, Saki West LG, Oyo.
According to Mr. Adesokan, Alhaja Mulikat Aweni will be laid to rest according to Islamic injunction in Ajegunle, Saki, today.
Alhaja Aweni was survived by children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
