The atmosphere from Alakia Airport, Ibadan to the APC State Secretariat, Oke-Ado was electrifying as supporters in their numbers trooped out to welcome Oyo State gubernatorial aspirant, Ololade Bakare, on his arrival from Abuja after a series of strategic political engagements to secure gubernatorial ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.
From the Alakia airport to the party office, the roads were filled with enthusiastic party faithful, youths, women groups and community leaders who came out in a mammoth crowd to express their support for his aspiration.
The supporters, chanting solidarity songs and waving APC flags, accompanied Ololade Bakare in a massive procession that reflected the growing acceptance of his vision for a better and more prosperous Oyo State.

The excitement and unity displayed by party members further demonstrated the confidence many stakeholders have in his leadership capacity and commitment to progressive governance.
Bakare while speaking at the Oke-Ado party secretariat, eulogised past and living leaders of Progressives in Oyo State from late former governors Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina, Adebayo Alao-Akala and Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi. He called for the support of everyone to restore progressive governance in Oyo State for genuine development to spread across regions in the State.
Addressing the cheering crowd at the APC party office, Ololade Bakare appreciated large party leaders, members and followers for the warm reception and steadfast belief in his ambition. He described the show of love as humbling and inspiring, assuring them that he remains committed to the ideals of the All Progressives Congress and the collective goal of repositioning Oyo State for sustainable development.
Bakare emphasized the need for unity within the party, noting that only a united APC can successfully deliver good governance and reclaim the state. He also reiterated his commitment to youth empowerment, infrastructural development, quality education, improved healthcare and economic opportunities for all residents.
The remarkable reception has once again reinforced the growing momentum behind Ololade Bakare’s gubernatorial ambition as supporters continue to rally across the state in anticipation of a brighter future under purposeful leadership.
