The Honourable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning in Oyo State, Barrister Seun Ashamu Temilolu, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the state and beyond on the commencement of the holy month of Ramadan, urging them to seize the spiritual opportunity to pray fervently for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Oyo State.

In a goodwill message released to mark the sacred period, the Commissioner described Ramadan as a season of deep reflection, sacrifice, compassion, and renewed commitment to righteous living. He emphasized that beyond fasting, the holy month represents a time for believers to strengthen their relationship with Almighty Allah and promote values that foster unity and peaceful coexistence in society.

Barrister Ashamu called on Muslims to remember the leadership and people of Oyo State in their prayers, noting that divine guidance and collective goodwill are essential for sustainable development and economic growth. He expressed optimism that the spiritual exercises of the period would translate into greater harmony, stability, and shared responsibility among citizens.

He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to policies and programmes that will enhance economic planning, infrastructural development, and improved living standards for residents, while also appreciating the continued support and cooperation of the people.
