The Wife of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Olori (Barr) Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja, has extended a hand of love and compassion to vulnerable children in Ibadan by donating foodstuffs and household items to Orphanage Homes as part of her usual activities marking the birthday of her husband.
The humanitarian outreach, carried out by Olori Ladoja, covered the Ibadan Motherless Babies Home, Omolewa Street, UCH, FOMWAN Orphanage Home, General Gas area, Akobo and Total Parental Guidance Home, Ring Road, all in Ibadan, Oyo State.
The gesture was aimed at supporting the daily needs of the Children and their Caregivers while bringing joy and encouragement to the Homes as Oba Ladoja celebrated another milestone in his life.
The donation according to Olori Rashidat Ladoja whose message was delivered through a team of delegation led by Mrs Adenike Adigun, underscored the importance that Oba Ladoja attaches to the welfare of vulnerable members of society, particularly children who depend on institutional care and community support for their well-being, development and future.
By extending her hand of humanitarian service to Orphanage Homes, the wife of Olubadan demonstrated that such milestones could provide meaningful opportunities to show kindness, promote social responsibility and reach out to those who need assistance.
During the visits, Olori Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja, represented by members of her delegation delivered the foodstuffs and household essentials to the beneficiary homes on behalf of Oba Rashidi Ladoja, conveying the spirit of generosity and goodwill associated with the Monarch.
Responding to the gesture, some Caregivers in the beneficiary homes, including Mrs Grace Akpan of Total Parental Guidance Orphanage, Ring Road, Assistant Matron, Ibadan Motherless Babies Home, Mrs Aderinola Oke, and Mrs Aminat Adedoyin of FOMWAN Orphanage, General Gas Road, Akobo, Ibadan, who were full of gratitude, said the donations would offer practical support towards meeting everyday needs, prayed for Oba Rashidi Ladoja to live longer on the throne of his forebearers.
Olori Ladoja’s outreach to the Orphanage Homes added a humanitarian dimension to this year’s Birthday of Oba Ladoja, reflecting the enduring values of compassion, generosity and service to humanity.
Some of the items donated included Bags of rice, Bags of Beans, Semovita, Spaghetti, Vegetable Oil, Beverages, Diapers and other household items.
