A gubernatorial aspirant in Oyo State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr Ololade Usman Bakare has said that he has what it takes as stated in 1999 Constitution as amended to be governor of Oyo State come 2027.
Dr Bakare made the statement while featuring on socio-political programme tagged “Bosenlo” on Lagelu FM, on Saturday, the financial expert all requirements as stated in the Constitution in terms of age, qualifications among others.
The cyber security expert said he has been participating in governance through policies formulation to expand the tax net of the federal government. Dr Bakare commended the leadership spirit of former Oyo governors as the state celebrates its 50th anniversary.

He recounted the foundation laid by all past governors of Oyo State in the last 50 years. He called for the sustenance of quality education, health care and security of lives and properties advocated by the founder fathers of Oyo State.
Dr Bakare said he is in total support of direct payment of monthly allocations to Local Government Areas as advocated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Dr Bakare said he would prioritise development at the grassroots level if entrusted with leadership position in Oyo State come 2027.
He called for a productive economy to boost the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR). He advocated for auditing government critical sectors to address housing deficits, revive moribund industries among industries.

Dr Bakare said he is confident of the party’s gubernatorial ticket. He however reiterated that he will work with any aspirant of the party who clinched the party ticket by affirming party supremacy.
