The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the final list of candidates of different political parties that will participate in the much anticipated bye-election for Ibadan North federal constituency scheduled to hold August 16, 2025.

Five candidates made the list as released by INEC,– Akin Alamu DEXTER FEMI, ADC, Olatunji Haastrup Adewale, APC, Odususi Olajumoke Olabisi, APGA, Oyekunle Fola Sunday, PDP and Hammed Badmus, ZLP.

The formal announcement of the candidates will put a rest to the recognised candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, after internal crisis faced by the party from the conduct of its primary where other aspirants alleged that primary elections did not hold.

FRESHPAGE observed from the list of candidates released by INEC that Labour Party, and Social Democratic Party, SDP have no candidate ahead of the poll.

The candidate of the ZLP, Hammed Badmus, the oldest among the candidates, he presented the least qualification, Leaving School Certificate for the August 16 bye-election.
