The Justice Development and Peace Commission (JDPC) of Catholic Diocese of Yola has facilitated industrial borehole project to ease water access for residents of Tasha Turmi community in Girei Local Govt Area of Adamawa state.
TVC News reports that it was a new dawn for the residents of the community who has been neglected for over a decade.
Tasha Turmi is located 2km away from Salama IDP settlement in Girei LGA where residents struggle with limited potable water, schools and health care services.
A resident of the community, Dorcas Jacob who spoke with TVC News correspondent said they don’t have potable water for years. She said lack of potable water made life difficult for residents of the community. She expressed her gratitude to the JDPC for facilitating the water project that will ease their pains.

Another resident, Stephen Madaki lamented the challenges they had in the past with unsafe water for consumption they relied on.
The representative of the JDPC, Bishop Dami Mamza acknowledges the general support from the organization to assist humanity for better and healthy living.
Bishop Mamza urged the government and well-meaning Nigerians to always come to rescue of the downtrodden citizens.
