A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) who vied to represent Ona Ara State constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly in 2023 general elections, Hon. Olufemi Adebayo has sympathized with the family of the late Olubadan, Oba (Dr) Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun, the Olubadan-in-Council and the entire sons and daughters of Ibadanland (home and in the diaspora) over transition of Oba (Dr) Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun who joined his ancestors at the age of 81.
While speaking with our correspondent this morning, Hon. Adebayo noted that the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Balogun’s reign brought unprecedented peace to Ibadanland, Yorubaland and especially, Oyo State.
”His death was a big loss to Ibadanland and Nigeria at large. He was until his death a peace loving monarch and a father-figure to all and sundry.
“Oba Balogun Alli Okunmade II was a custodian of culture and embodiment of Yoruba tradition during his life time. He was the first Olubadan with highest academic credentials. His public life is worthy of emulation.
“His great contributions to unite humanity and especially the political atmosphere will be greatly missed by all and sundry.
” I pray that God give us all the fortitude to hear this irreparable loss of our father “.
