Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Thursday commissioned the a newly constructed police station in Olorunda-Abaa community, Lagelu Local Government Area.

The construction of the police station was facilitated by  Agbaakin of Olorunda-Abaa, Oloye Benedict Akika.

Governor described the gesture as the one that the keys into one of the major pillars of his administration, Security, saying such will contribute towards making the community safer.

In his remarks at the event, Governor Makinde directed that the new station should be given an operational vehicle just like the 74 other divisional police headquarters his administration handed over vehicles to.

Makinde also thanked the good people of Olorunda-Abaa community for their support and assured them that he will award their road project before the end of his first tenure which lapses May 29, 2023.
