As a way of promoting rich cultural heritage of Yorubaland, Oyo State government under the able leadership of Governor Seyi Makinde has celebrated this year’s edition of Omituntun Pacesetter Festival of Arts and Culture.
The event which was organized and put together by Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism under its head Dr. Wasiu Olatunbosun as the commissioner held at the expansive Cultural Centre located in Mokola, Ibadan afforded all the local government areas and Local Development Council Areas (LCDAs) in the state opportunity to showcase the local culture they wer known for.
Prizes were given to local government that came first across all the categories of event held at the programme.
Dignatories from all walks of life as well as ambassadors of culture were all present and commended Oyo state government for organizing festival of Arts and Culture to revive lost cultural values of Yorubaland.
