The Oyo State House of Assembly has received a letter from the State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde seeking for the approval of a supplementary budget sum of ₦79,337,000,000.00 (Seventy-Nine Billion, Three Hundred and Thirty- Seven Million Naira) under the 2024 fiscal year.
The Speaker, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin disclosed this under the message from the executive on the floor of House.
During the plenary the bill was read for the first time and forwarded it to the House committee on finance, Appropriation, Budget and Economic Planning for further deliberation.
As contained in the governor’s message sent to the House, the supplementary budget would enable re-alignment of the recurrent and capital expenditure for the services of Oyo State in the year ending or the 31st day of December, 2024.
