Ibadan North West Local Government Chapter of the Allied People’s Movement (APM) has constituted a campaign council for the chairmanship of Alh. Ganiyu Abiodun Omotoso and councilorship of the local administration in the forthcoming municipality election.
The party on Wednesday unveiled a group of notable members commissioned as canvassers drawn across the eleven wards of the council for the contact and mobilization exercise.
The chairman of the party, Kazeem Fantola in his welcome remark said the effort was expedient to energize the members, supporters and reawake the consciousness of the people to a series of lofty human and physical infrastructures the ruling administrations at all levels in the state have put in place to better the life of all and sundry.
According to the director general of the campaign body and the incumbent chairman of the council, Hon. Rahamon Olanrewaju Adepoju, stated that the inauguration of the crusaders for the coming poll was ideally conceived to build on the goodwill of the party and feel the pulse of the electorate for the continuing government’s presence at the grassroots.
He further said the ruling APM in the state can not afford to let the superlative performance of Seyi Makinde’s administration be jeopardized by not putting appropriate machineries in motion for the massive mobilization and propagation of all the candidates of the party in the coming general elections.
Adepoju enjoined the members of the council and special committee to see themselves as the pillars and unifiers for the sustenance of the 2019 and 2023 gubernatorial election victories by going all out to project the candidacies of Gbolahan Ibikunle as member of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Dr. Akin Fagbemi as member of House of Representatives to represent Ibadan North West/South West Federal Constituency, Hon. Stanley Olajide as senator for Oyo South senatorial district and Governor Seyi Makinde as next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria saying the feat would guarantee the actualization of real hope for the commoners.
Speaking on behalf of the candidates, Alh. Ganiyu Omotoso, the vice chairman of the council as well as the administrator of Oke’Badan Local Council Development Area thanked the rank and file of the party for the spirited efforts geared into the evangelism of the APM as a redeemer of the common Nigerians and opportunity availed him to fly the ticket of the party at the poll towards the continuation of the purposeful administration being jointly runned with his boss.

He therefore urged the people of the local government area to continue supporting the ruling administration by voting all the candidates of the party in the 29th December, 2026 grassroots poll and later complement it with the victories of all the APM’s candidates for the state, national assembly and Governor Seyi Makinde as number one citizen to put an end to the abject poverty being invested on the people by the Bola Tinubu’s government.
