A former senator who represented Oyo South Senatorial District, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has commiserated with the family, friends and entire members of Oyo State chapter of All Progressives Congress (APC) over the death of Pa Akinola Ojebode.

Senator Akanbi described Pa Ojebode as a grassroots mobiliser, a lover of young and old in the party and a forthright leader who will be missed for his genuine contribution to the development of the party.

“We have lost another important figure of our party in Oyo State. Pa Ojebode was a committed member and a true believer in the dreams of progressives. Baba left a big shoe which will be difficult to fill for anyone who didn’t pass through the nitty-gritty of Awo’s philosophy thoroughly.

“While we are yet to overcome the demise of leaders like Chief Samuel Farinu, Chief Adelere and Pa Samuel Akindele, who were instrumental to the success Oyo APC has recorded in the time past for their fatherly advise on the policies and choices for the party.

“Pa Ojebode’s demise came at a time we are trying to resolve grievance within our party in the State in order to become a stronger and one united house, Baba will surely be missed”.

Rest in Peace, great leader.

Sen. Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi
