A group known as Ibolo Consumers Advocacy Nigeria (ICAN) has petitioned the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu seeking urgent infrastructural improvements at the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) Business Hub in Offa, Kwara State.
ICAN expressed concern that the epileptic power supply has severely handicapped commercial and educational activities in towns in Offa and Oyun local government areas, arguing that the communities thrive on commerce and education.

The Nation reports that the petition was jointly signed by the president, secretary, and spokesperson of the group, Tajudeen Iwalola, Shehu Olanrewaju, and Yinka Ajibade.
The petition highlighted the dire state of electricity supply in Offa and its surrounding communities.
