Department of State Security (DSS) has arrested Lagelu Local Government Chairman, Hon. Kazeem Adeyemi Gbadamosi for brandishing gun at a social gathering over the weekend.
Impeccable source at the Alalubosa DSS office in Ibadan confirmed the arrest of the LG boss to Sahara Reporters on Tuesday. The source said the legal team personnel of the Oyo State Ministry of Justice have visited the DSS office to solicit for release of the Chairman which was declined by management of DSS.
FreshPage recalls the arrested Chairman said he didn’t want to be killed like Segelu and Olatoye Temitope Sugar while giving reasons for carrying gun in public place.
The source said: “It is true (he has been detained), the man is with us. He must explain to us why he was threatening people with a gun. I understand the state government has sent a legal team to our office today, but the man won’t be released until we Concludes our investigation and the right thing is done.
“He was arrested on Tuesday. His action has created fear in the minds of the people. Why must you take such a step at a social function”?
