The Mogaji of Ifatayo-Alawode Compound of Ibadanland and President of the Yoruba Youth Council, Chief Rahmon Akintunde Alawode, has expressed profound appreciation to Almighty Allah, family members, traditional colleagues, friends and well-wishers for making his birthday celebration a memorable and blessed occasion.

Chief Alawode, who marked his birthday on Friday, October 2, described the celebration as a day filled with love, prayers, music and beautiful memories.
Recounting the moments leading to his birthday, Mogaji Alawode said he had a memorable experience on October 1 while relaxing in front of his family compound at Ode Aje, Aremo, Ibadan, when a naturally talented Fuji musician approached him and rendered a beautiful birthday song.
According to him, the unexpected musical performance added a special touch to the celebration and created a memorable moment ahead of his birthday.
On his birthday proper, October 2, Chief Alawode was officially inducted into the Mogaji Association of Ibadan North East Local Government, alongside other new members. The induction was conducted under the leadership of the association’s chairman, Mogaji Molade Compound, Beere, Ibadan.
The celebration continued at the Ibadan North East Local Government Secretariat, where members of the Royal Focus Club of Ibadan honoured him with a special birthday gesture.
Representing the club were Chief Adewale Folarin, Mogaji PAGUN Compound, Aremo Idi-Ose; Chief Adeleke Muritala, Mogaji Oganja Compound; and Chief Adeniran Noah, Mogaji Iyanda Compound, who presented a beautifully framed royal portrait to the celebrant as a mark of goodwill and brotherhood.
Speaking on the significance of the celebration, Mogaji Alawode said the various gestures of love and goodwill had made his birthday particularly meaningful.
He subsequently returned to his family compound where a special prayer session was held to give thanks to Almighty Allah and return all glory to Him for the gift of life and another year.
He expressed special appreciation to his father and role model, Okanlomo Oodua and Gbonka Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oloye Jubril Dotun Sanusi, for his heartfelt birthday wishes and continued fatherly support.
He also appreciated Iyaniwura Oodua, Princess Ganiyat Morayo-Alli, and Sanmori Adini of Oyo State, Hadj Fatai Adewale Azeez, for their thoughtful messages and prayers.
Mogaji Alawode further thanked the Yoruba Youth Council, members of his family, fellow Mogajis, friends, colleagues and numerous well-wishers who celebrated with him, sent messages and offered prayers on his birthday.
He said: “Seriously, my day was truly blessed. I am grateful to Almighty Allah for the gift of life and for surrounding me with people who genuinely care about me. I pray for greater heights, wisdom, good health and abundant blessings in the new chapter of my life.”
He concluded by reaffirming his gratitude to everyone who contributed in one way or another to making his birthday celebration memorable, saying their love and prayers would remain deeply appreciated.
