A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Adeseun Ayoade Hamzat has made public declaration that he will not attend any gubernatorial declaration of any aspirant within the party, stressing that Senator Sharafadeen Alli is the only recognised consensus candidate of the party by the Presidency come 2027 general elections.

Senator Adeseun made the statement at the Leadership Summit of the party held in Samonda, Ibadan on Saturday.
Senator Adeseun affirmed that he has spoken with the President Tinubu and Senator Alli remains the consensus candidate of the party. He said he will work and canvass for him to emerge victorious in 2027 general elections.

Also speaking at the Summit, confirming the position of Senator Adeseun was Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle, he said President Tinubu called and said; “Fatai, you are my son in Oyo State, Sharafadeen Alli is my choice”. Alhaji Ibikunle said he pledged his support for the candidacy of Senator Alli.
