Sanusi Taoreed, an Aide to the House of Representatives hopeful for Ibadan North East/South East federal constituency, Hon. Adebola Shakirat Adetunji fondly call ASHAD has reiterated that her boss remains a member of the Oyo State All Progressives Congress, APC.
Sanusi made this known in a statement issued on Saturday to debunk the defection rumour of Hon. Adetunji. Sanusi said her boss remains unshaken despite the delay in announcement of the House of Representatives primaries election results by the party. He reaffirmed commitment of ASHAD to the party, grassroots development across the wards in her federal constituency.

Sanusi cautioned those spreading fake, misleading and fabricated news to demarket the chances of her boss to desist from their evils act. He assured teeming supporters of ASHAD to remain calm and optimistic while waiting for the NWC to announce party’s candidate for the federal constituency.
“The APC National Working Committee (NWC) has not officially announced the results of the House of Representatives primaries in Oyo State and several other states across the federation. Therefore, any attempt to suggest that Hon. ASHAD has abandoned the party over a process that has not been officially concluded is nothing more than political propaganda designed to misinform the public and create unnecessary division among party members.
“Hon. Adebola Shakirat Adetunji (ASHAD) remains a proud, loyal, and committed member of the APC. Her dedication to the progressive ideals of the party remains unwavering, and she continues to stand firmly with the APC family.
“For a very long time, Ibadan North East has not been adequately prioritised within the progressive political structure. Since 2003, the constituency has struggled to secure the level of representation and political inclusion it deserves despite its enormous contribution to the growth and success of the party.
“Equally troubling is the continued marginalisation of women in elective politics. Women have consistently played critical roles in mobilising support, strengthening party structures, and delivering electoral victories, yet they are often denied the opportunity to lead and represent their people.
“The aspiration of ASHAD represents more than a political ambition—it represents hope, inclusion, grassroots leadership, and a genuine opportunity to give both Ibadan North East and women a stronger voice in governance.
“The people deserve a representative from among them—someone who understands their daily struggles, knows every ward and community, shares in their hopes and challenges, and remains accessible at all times.
“Leadership should not be measured by financial strength alone. True leadership is measured by service, compassion, capacity, loyalty, acceptability, and the ability to deliver results.
“What distinguishes ASHAD from many others is her proven record of humanitarian service and community development without occupying any political office.
“ASHAD stands tall in her interventions across the constituency include: Family Relief Packages, Back-to-School Support Programmes, Festive Season Food Distribution, Free JAMB Forms for Students, Medical Outreach Services, Community Borehole Projects, Installation of Streetlights, Widow Empowerment Initiatives, POS Business Empowerment Programmes and Youth Cash Empowerment Schemes.
*The above listed achievements were not funded through public office or government allocations. They were made possible through personal sacrifice, compassion for humanity, and an unwavering commitment to improving lives.
“If ASHAD can impact so many lives without political power, imagine the level of transformation that can be achieved when she is entrusted with the mandate to serve.
“The people have seen her commitment, the people know her capacity, the people trust her leadership and the people are ready for ASHAD.
“This is a defining moment for APC members, stakeholders, and delegates to support a candidate whose loyalty to the party has never wavered and whose commitment to the welfare of the people is beyond question.
