As the political atmosphere in Oyo State intensifies ahead of the 2027 general elections, the All Progressives Congress, APC Local Government Secretaries from all 33 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state have jointly declared their unwavering support and solidarity for Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.

The critical stakeholders gathered at a strategic meeting in Ibadan to review the party’s grassroots structures and align their strategies.
The progressive bloc’s declaration underscores Senator Alli’s growing influence as formidable candidate for 2027 Oyo governorship race.
The meeting, which brought together the administrative engines of the party across the 33 LGAs, concluded with a unanimous vote of confidence in Senator Alli, who currently represents Oyo South Senatorial District in the National Assembly.
Speaking on behalf of the forum, the leadership of the APC LG Secretaries emphasized that the decision to back “BSA” was born out of his proven track records, accessible leadership style, and commitment to party loyalty
“We are not just administrative officers of the party; we are the direct links to the grassroots. Having assessed the political landscape as momentum builds for 2027, we have resolved that Senator Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli possesses the leadership acumen, experience, and acceptability required to lead the APC to victory in Oyo State,” the forum stated.
The endorsement by all 33 LG Secretaries effectively signals a consolidated grassroots push, potentially shifting the internal dynamics of the party.
The secretaries pledged to Mobilize grassroots structures effectively across all wards in the state, maintaining party cohesion to prevent internal fragmentation and champion the “BSA” vision, which they noted aligns with the progressive ideals of the APC and the “Renewed Hope” agenda.
