Hon. Yomi Olajide, popularly known as Royal Umbrella, has continued to attract attention in Oyo State political circles following his decision to chart a different political course despite his long-standing association with the GSMists political movement.
Olajide, a grassroots mobiliser with decades of experience, has demonstrated that political relationships should not prevent individuals from exercising their constitutional right to freedom of association and expressing their views on the future direction of the state.
Hon. Olajide while speaking at the APC party secretariat, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, during the Sharafite Movement orientation and media engagement for members, alleged that he was threatened for rejecting Omi Tuntun 3.0.
Hon. Olajide said that he has left his friend, Governor Seyi Makinde for good, embrace All Progressives Congress, APC. He declared his total loyalty to the party and pledged to work for all APC candidates in 2027 general elections.

Royal Umbrella narrated that various offers were proposed to him when he had concluded not work for Omituntun 3.0 agenda with Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi as the Allied People’s Movement, APM gubernatorial candidate in Oyo State.

Hon. Olajide assured All Progressives Congress, APC of his commitment, support for all party’s candidates from top to bottom. He appealed to Sharafite Movement members that the work has started. He promised them all of them will get reward at the appropriate time. Royal Umbrella commended those that resigned their appointments in Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration to team up with him at Sharafite Movement.

He assured Sharafite Movement that their journey with Senator Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli will bear good fruits. He charged them to take the message of OyoAHEAD to nooks and crannies of State.
