A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, from Ibadan North Local Government Area of Oyo State, Bashorun Adekunle Oladeji fondly call OMOBAO has signified his intention to dump the party and join the Allied People’s Movement, APM ahead of the 2027 general elections.

OMOBAO revealed on Thursday via his Facebook book post that he accompanied Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, the official Governorship Candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Oyo State on a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde.

OMOBAO was among the APC House of Representatives aspirants for 2025 primaries for by-election and wonHon. Wale Murphy.
According to Bashorun Adekunle, the purpose of this visit was to formally state his intention to join the Allied Peoples Movement (APM). He affirmed his shared commitment to work together with the party and move Oyo State forward and deliver meaningful development for people.

“We were warmly received by His Excellency. During our meeting, Governor Seyi Makinde offered valuable advice and guidance on governance and leadership. He made a very clear commitment: he will actively lead and support the campaign for Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi, but he will not interfere in any way in Hon. Bimbo Adekambi’s administration once he becomes the new Governor of Oyo State. We also discussed key strategies and plans to improve the welfare of citizens and ensure progress across every part of the state.
