The lawmaker representing Oyo Federal Constituency and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Akeem Adeyemi fondly called Skimeh has emerged winner of the House of Representatives election for Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West and Afijio federal constituency.

Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) made the announcement after the son of late Oba Adeyemi III polled a total of 34,822 votes to defeat his closet rival, Hon. Kamil Akinlabi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who scored 31,621.
The candidate of the Accord Party, Barrister Wakil Oyedemi Oyeleru came thirst with total of 13,544 votes.
