Barr. Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu, the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, has reaffirmed his commitment to inclusive representation, meaningful stakeholder engagement and people-centred development across the constituency.
Citing his Facebook account, Ashamu said this while reflecting on his ongoing engagements with stakeholders across Oyo Federal Constituency, describing the consultations as part of efforts to develop a practical, people-oriented blueprint for the constituency’s future.
According to him, the essence of the engagements is to listen directly to the people, understand their concerns and aspirations, and translate their expectations into actionable policies and interventions that can produce measurable impact.

He stressed that sustainable development cannot be achieved through promises alone, noting that effective representation requires constant interaction with the people and a clear understanding of the realities confronting different communities.

The APM candidate said his interactions with community leaders, youths, women, and other critical stakeholders have continued to strengthen his understanding of the constituency’s needs while giving citizens opportunities to contribute directly to the vision being developed for their collective future.
He noted that the people of Oyo Federal Constituency deserve representation that goes beyond political rhetoric, stressing the need for purposeful leadership that prioritises opportunities, empowerment, human capital development, infrastructure and interventions capable of improving the quality of life of residents.
Ashamu further stated that his proposed approach would place the people at the centre of decision-making, with emphasis on consultation, accountability, inclusiveness and practical solutions to identified challenges.
He maintained that the strength of any political mandate should be measured by its ability to translate the aspirations of the people into tangible development, adding that his ambition is driven by a desire to contribute meaningfully to the growth and prosperity of Oyo Federal Constituency.

He added that the journey ahead would require partnership, unity and sustained engagement among political leaders, traditional and community leaders, youths, women, professionals and other stakeholders.
