Temilolu Nurudeen Ashamu Esq., the Allied People’s Movement (APM) candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency, has commenced an agribusiness empowerment initiative with beneficiaries in Oyo Town, as part of a broader programme targeting about 120 beneficiaries across the 40 wards of the constituency.
Ashamu disclosed this in a statement shared on his Facebook page while reflecting on his recent engagements with party leaders, stakeholders and members at general meetings in Oyo East, Oyo West and Atiba Local Governments. He said the initiative would provide selected beneficiaries with practical training and start-up support to enable them build sustainable sources of livelihood.

The former commissioner said the initiative was informed by his belief that political engagement should go beyond short-term gestures to sustainable empowerment that equips people with the tools to become economically independent and productive. The programme, which has commenced with beneficiaries in Oyo Town, is expected to extend to other wards across the constituency.
Ashamu expressed appreciation for the enthusiasm, unity and encouragement received from party members and stakeholders during the engagements. He said the support had further motivated him to remain committed to initiatives capable of creating economic opportunities and improving the wellbeing of constituents.
