Following their earlier engagement with the APC leadership on April 14, the 2024 APC Councillorship Forum, led by Hon. Sanusi Taoheed Al-Miskeenbillahi, on Tuesday, August 18, 2026, held another important meeting with the party leadership as part of its continued commitment to the progress and success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.

The forum once again reaffirmed its loyalty to the party and pledged its readiness to support the new leadership in strengthening the party at the grassroots and working towards victory in the forthcoming electoral season.
During the meeting, the forum appealed to the party leadership to carry its members along and formally integrate them into the party’s campaign and mobilisation plans.

The forum stressed that, having contested under the party’s platform in the 2024 Local Government elections, they remain committed stakeholders with strong grassroots networks that can contribute meaningfully to the party’s success.
Responding on behalf of the party leadership, Chief Moses Alake Adeyemo appreciated the forum for its continued loyalty and assured them that the new leadership would not leave them behind. He gave his words that the forum would be carried along in the party’s activities and campaign plans, while calling for greater unity, cooperation and commitment from all members.
Also present at the meeting was the APC Publicity Secretary, Hon. Wasiu Sadare, who joined the leadership in acknowledging the importance of the forum and its role in grassroots mobilisation.
The meeting further demonstrated that political loyalty is not only about seeking positions, but also about remaining committed to the party and its collective ambition even after electoral contests.
The APC 2024 Councillorship Forum therefore reaffirmed its determination to work with the new leadership, mobilise at the grassroots and contribute its quota towards repositioning the APC and achieving victory in Oyo State.
In addition, the group welcomes the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as he visits Oyo State to meet the stakeholders of the party and perform official commissioning of the campaign office of the party in Ibadan.
