The Aaregbeomo Balogun of Ibadanland and the African Democratic Congress, ADC Gubernatorial Candidate in the 2027 election in Oyo State, Chief Adegboyega Taofeek Adegoke has commiserates with the Olubadan and the entire Ibadanland over the passing of Senior Chief Lekan Alabi, the Abese Olubadan of Ibadanland.
Speaking on the death of Oloye Alabi, Chief Adegoke noted that Ibadan has lost an encyclopedia, because Chief Alabi was an all rounder when ti comes to politics, traditions, custom and anything about Ibadan history.
Adegoke, who acknowledged the versatility of Oloye Alabi when it comes to history on Ibadan and political events noted that it is unfortunate that Alabi doesn’t leave to hand over all the knowledge to someone else before his exit
He however advised that the Olubadan-in-Council should approach his family to preserve his legacies like books, write ups and as well as his costumes for incoming generations to know about a man, who has dedicated his life for the upliftment of Ibadan customs and traditions.
