Wife of Olubadan of Ibadanland, Queen Rashidat Olayinka Ladoja, has identified with the Muslims and Christians Women in Ibadan on this year’s Ramadan fast and Lent

Queen Rashidat maintained that the Ramadan fast and Lent which began on the same day showed one of the reasons why God wants the people to live together peacefully regardless of their religious affiliation.

She said, the period of fast is an opportunity to abstain from sins, embrace self-discipline, reflection, almsgiving and spiritual growth, encouraging them to strengthen their relationship with God to better the lives of others in the society.
“Women play a vital role in the family and society at large, hence, our contributions should not be taken for granted while this special period should be used to further cater for the needy” Queen Rashidat said.
She enjoined Muslims and Christians in Ibadanland to also use this opportunity to offer prayers for the peace, unity and progress of Ibadanland and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa 1, who is passionate about the development of the ancient City.
“I, therefore, wish all the Muslims a blessed Ramadan and Christians a meaningful lenten season” Queen Rashidat concluded.
