Former Commissioner for Health, Dr Muyiwa Gbadegesin, has engaged the “Koseleri” local government chairmen who served during the first term of the late Governor Abiola Ajimobi’s administration from 2011 to 2015, as part of his ongoing statewide consultations on the future of Oyo State.
The meeting, which held in Ibadan on Friday, December 5, 2025, focused on party unity and the need for collective action towards a common political goal. The former council chairmen were key figures in securing the historic second-term victory of the Ajimobi-led administration.
Speaking during the engagement, Dr Gbadegesin said his consultations were aimed at strengthening internal cohesion within the Oyo APC and promoting cooperation across all blocs. He noted that progress within the party can only be achieved when stakeholders work together in unity and mutual understanding.
The former chairmen reflected on their shared years of service and sacrifice and renewed their collective commitment to ISOKAN (unity) and the pursuit of a new era of Renewed Hope in the Oyo APC.
In his remarks, Dr Gbadegesin declared that “Koseleri will indeed become Lekansi,” describing it as a symbol of continuity.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Dr Gbadegesin also visited Eruwa, his mother’s hometown, where he paid a courtesy call on the Eleruwa of Eruwa, Oba Samuel Adegbola, and received royal prayers and blessings for peace, success, and continued impactful public service.
He later met with key APC leaders in Ibarapa, including Baba Jolaoso of the G9 and members of the G64, where discussions also centred on party unity, grassroots mobilisation, and the importance of working together to return the APC to Agodi Government House.
The series of engagements form part of Dr Gbadegesin’s wider consultations across Oyo State.
