2027: Former APC Party Chairmen Endorse Tinubu, Rally Support For Oyo APC

The Forum of Former Local Government Party Chairmen of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State convened a strategic meeting on Wednesday, 15th May 2025. The meeting, held with full attendance, brought together former party leaders from the 33 local government areas of Oyo State and took place in Eruwa, Ibarapa East Local Government Area.

During the deliberations, critical discussions were held concerning the progress of the party in Oyo State and the future of national leadership. At the end of the meeting, the forum unanimously resolved to throw its full weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, endorsing his re-election bid for a second term in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.

In alignment with this resolution, the Forum of Former Local Government Party Chairmen of the APC reaffirmed their unwavering support for President Tinubu, commending his leadership and the strides achieved under his administration. The forum declared its readiness to mobilize grassroots support across the state and beyond to ensure victory for the APC in the 2027 elections.

Furthermore, the forum issued a passionate call to all party faithful across Oyo State to prioritize party unity, intensify grassroots mobilization, and remain resolute in their commitment to the party’s ideals. They emphasized the collective goal of reclaiming Oyo State for the APC in 2027 and urged members to work in synergy toward that objective.

As part of their engagements, the forum paid a courtesy visit to a revered leader and elder statesman of the APC in Oyo State and Ibarapa Land, Pa Jolaoso T.A., acknowledging his fatherly role and long-standing contributions to the party’s development in the region.

The meeting was presided over by Prince Aderemi Oni, Chairman of the Forum, and the communiqué was signed by Alhaji Adegoke Ganiyu, Secretary of the Forum.

The forum remains committed to strengthening the party’s presence at the grassroots and ensuring its victory at all levels in the 2027 elections.
