The Ologuneru Integrity Lions Club, District 404-B3, Nigeria, on Sunday, 4 May, 2025, held the installation of its new President, Lion Yetunde Olasemo, NLCF, and other officers for the 2024/2025 service year. The ceremony took place at the Southland Concept Hotels and Suites, Ologuneru, Ibadan.

The guest speaker, Mr Tunji Oladejo, JP, MNIPR, former Director, Public Communication, University of Ibadan, emphasised the importance of service, compassion and community in his address. He highlighted the Lions Club International’s mission to empower volunteers to make a positive impact in their immediate communities and around the world.

The current Director, Ibadan University Press (Publishing House) encouraged the new President and officers to lead with integrity, compassion and wisdom, citing Biblical and Quranic quotations that promote generosity and kindness.

He also praised the immediate past President, Lion Chief Folashade Akinola and fellow Lions for their selfless service and dedication to the Club.

Oladejo used the event to celebrate the spirit of Lionism, emphasising the organisation’s commitment to serving humanity and making a lasting difference in communities.

According to Oladejo, “As the new President begins her tenure with the induction of the new Lions, the Lions Club is poised to continue its impactful work, inspiring others to join the movement.”

The ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including the District Governor, Lion Dr Ibrahim Jide Bello, PMJF, NLPF, and other Lions Club members.
