The senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Dr. Yunus Akintunde has sent his warm congratulatory message to Senator Monday Okpebholo who was declared the winner of the gubernatorial election held last Saturday in Edo State.
In a release made available to the FRESHPAGE by Kunle Olatunji the Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Senator, Dr Akintunde described Senator Okpebholo’s victory at the polls as a call to more dedication to humanity, especially to the people of Edo State and the nation.
“On behalf of my family and constituents at Oyo Central Senatorial District, I congratulate Senator Monday Okpebholo my colleague at the Senate in the National Assembly having been declared the winner of the just concluded Edo State gubernatorial election”.
The election which was keenly contested was won by the All Progressives Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo defeating his closest rivals, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party.
