The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes, (CCII), will, on Sunday, 12th February 2023, honour an illustrious son of Ibadanland, Oloye Abiola Iyiola, the Arole-Anlamole and Jagun Olubadan of Ibadanland with ‘Omoluabi Ibadan Award’ at the Ibadan House, Oke Aremo, Ibadan.
The award ceremony is one of the activities marking the upcoming celebration of 2023 Ibadan Cultural Festival Week.
The conferment of the award on Jagun Olubadan is not based on monetary motivation but on the wonderful antecedents of the recipient. He is being recognised for his past successes and contributions to the development of Ibadanland in particular and the society in general.
As a reliable, courageous and a straightforward personality, the recipient is also being awarded because of his belief in Omoluabi values and ethos and for being an exemplary role model to other men and youths.
