An indigene of Oyo State, Tolulope Adetunji will be raising the State’s flag at third Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship scheduled to kick off in August this year.
She was selected among 16 young Nigerians to participate in the third cohort of the Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship, a leadership capacity programme for young people.
At the unveiling of the third cohort, Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai said Kaduna State Government under his leadership established Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship Programme as a deliberate investment in building leadership capacity among youths.
Mallam El-Rufai pointed out that best graduating fellow in the pioneer set, Jemimah Jatau has already been admitted as a Mason Fellow to study for an MPA at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
He disclosed that the government could not select up to 24 fellows due to COVID-19 effect but however clarified that the 16 selected fellows by the Governing Board were picked based on the high standards set by the first two sets of the fellows.
Out of the 16 fellows to participate in this year’s fellowship programme, 6 were Kaduna indigenes, 2 from Kogi state while Ogun, Kogi, Nasaraw, Taraba, Kebbi, Oyo, Anambra, Ondo and Kano have one participant each.
