The Oyo state governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general election Chief Adebayo Adelabu has revealed why he couldn’t sleep overnight the day he clocked 23 years old.

Chief Adelabu disclosed this while featuring on weekly personality programme on Splash 105.5fm tagged ‘YSLive’ anchored by renowned broadcaster Mr. Yemi Sonde which was monitored by freshpage.com.ng

Chief Adelabu said he was in fear throughout the night he clocked 23 years of age bearing it in mind that his grandfather Chief Gbadamosi Adegoke Adelabu Penkelemesi died at the age of 43 years while his father Rauf Aderibigbe Adelabu died at 33 years, just 10 years lesser than the year great Adelabu died.

The former Deputy Governor (Operation) of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) who clocked 50 years recently appreciated the God for making him to live up to 50 years.

While recounting how he lived while in Secondary School and his outstanding performance at both secondary school level and university level, he described the feat achieved as opportunity met preparedness.

Chief Adelabu while responding to various loans took by the present administration in the State, said the N200billion obtained by the state government for building Bus Terminal could be used to develop 100 secondary schools and several hospitals in the state with modern facilities.

He further expressed that the N5billion loan took to remodeling Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba could be used to develop existing and build new sporting facilities across the five geo-political zones in the state where talents can be discovered for the state.

He used the opportunity to appreciate everyone who felicitated with him on the occasion of his golden jubilee celebration.
