Oyo Gubernatorial hopeful, Engr Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe has stated that any nation focused on development has to prioritize the growth of its Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs).

Tegbe stated this at the Mid-Term Ministerial Performance Review Retreat in Abuja as part of his submission on the theme, Driving Industrialization through SMEs.

Furthermore, Tegbe stressed the importance of deliberate policies to remove financial and institutional bottlenecks, as well as creating an working ecosystem to aid the growth of SMEs which play a key role in tackling poverty and unemployment.

Tegbe, a policy expert and Senior Partner at KPMG was a facilitator cum moderator at the Technical Sessions of the Retreat.
