The immediate past senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi on Friday paid an unannounced visit to beneficiaries of Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation, RAAF skills acquisition programme.
According to Senator Akanbi, the purpose of the visit is familiarise with beneficiaries of the empowement programme in various categories who will be rounding up soon.
Okanlomo of Ibadanland while speaking at RAAF office locate at Inalende, Ibadan reiterated his commitment to human capital development through skills acquisition for people.
The trio representatives of those catering and baking, Make-up and Soap Making who spoke on behalf of other beneficiaries unanimously appreciated the Senator Akanbi for giving them platform to learn new skills.
One of the tutors of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Olayemi Afolabi described Senator Akanbi as a rare breed who believes in teaching people how to fish instead of giving them fish. She commended Senator Akanbi for stand tall despite not in office.
Senator Akanbi while making closing remarks appreciated all beneficiaries who utilised the opportunity he made available through RAAF foundation.
He described beneficiaries as ambassadors of RAAF and urged them to train others in their immediate environment while assuring them all participants will get financial assistance to establish themselves.
