Security of lives and properties are non-negotiable in any society that seeks to toe path of development. Little wonder the former senator representing Oyo South Senatorial District, Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi took it upon himself to identify and solved societal problem that relates to insecurity.
As part of his vision to contribute resources and harness opportunities within his reach to make a society a better place, Senator Akanbi as fulfilled his promised when he was approached by leaders of Felele Olorunsogo Central Development Areas (FOCEDA) who demanded for security van.
In what could be described as surprise visit, Okanlomo of Ibadanland, Senator Akanbi stormed the community with a new Nissan Hilux Patrol van, he handed over the patrol van to the community leaders of FOCEDA who assured him that they will transfer the ownership to the only police station serving the community which will enable them to respond to emergency and distress calls when the need arise.
“The essence of donating Hilux van to the community is to boost the security network under the purview of the law enforcement officers in the areas. Through this, the social vices like armed robbery and others will no doubt reduce drastically”.
The leaders of FOCEDA thanked Senator Akanbi for the gesture and for always rising to the challenge of insecurity in the area.
